![]() If they would put a 3-5 min delay on the time it takes for the AI to take over, that would be a different story but as it is, I feel as though this is the fairest approach to all players who join my games. So less time on the clock (and allowing the AI to take turns) seems to be detrimental to the game in general due to the amount of time it takes to re-launch the game. Based on my own experience, I've been disconnected or the game crashes at least once in three matches. Seems reasonable to me, especially considering how buggy this game is. I like to give people about 2 mins to play each tile. Whenever I host 3+ player matches, I adjust the timer with less time for each player accordingly. There's usually less than 20 mins to wait by that point so to me, it's no big deal and I also put the min Karma to 3 so it's pretty rare that someone leaves and doesn't return. Whenever someone disconnects, I just alt-tab and watch some YouTube or do something else while I wait for them to resume or their time runs out. This is kind of besides the point but I set the timer to 35mins in 1v1 and turn off the AI. I think the way it works, is that the game is still played out until all tiles have been placed and the player with more points wins - regardless if the AI took over or not or if time ran out or not. And we continue to ask HiG for clarifications so the latest and most acurate information is available on WICA.But you can still resume if you've disconnected - even if the AI has played turns for you. Also, every single FAQ, and every single expansion to the game - there are currently 11 - has 3rd edition rules in mind. We also updated WICA to incorporate additional clarifications to the rules available since 5/2015 and therefore not available in the CAR. You may find here a list of rules changes and discrepancies between versions and English publishers including the aforementioned mistranslations: Until Carcassonne Central is back online, you may also find the CAR v7.4 on BGG:įor the missing information, we used the source material from HiG and used the rules by ZMG for the base game and major expansions of the new edition.Īs a side note, the Big Box 6 rules by ZMG include many mistranslations affecting the Mini Expansions mainly. Unluckily this document hasn't been updated since its last release so it is missing some classic edition expansion and all the new editon except the Abbot. The pages for the old edition are based on the CAR v7.4 (a great document consolidating all the rules and clarifications for the classic edition until 5/2015). Where does all this information come from?
